Telangana Education Department has taken a key decision. Changes have been made in the science examination system of class IX and X. These changes will come into effect from the academic year 2024-25. It has been decided to bring amendments in the conduct of examination so far. Henceforth, physical and biological science exams will be held on two separate days.

 

Separate Question Papers At present separate question papers are being given for both the subjects together. The exam is conducted on the same day for both the papers. From this academic year, the physics exam will be conducted on one day and the biology exam on the next day. To this extent, the Education Department has taken a key decision. In the wake of the reforms in the exams, the choice in the exam question paper has been changed in December 2022. It is applicable only for the academic years 2022-23, 2023-24, said Jivo.

 

Due to the government's decision, students and teachers are confused about the format of this academic year's question papers. It is being discussed for the last few days that the Education Department has not taken a decision on this. In this context, the education department has released the latest GO 23 amending the previous GO. Until March 2024 Class 10 exams, Physics and Biology exams have been conducted on the same day one after the other. An hour and a half time was allotted for each exam.

 

For both classes, an additional 20 minutes will be given to collect the answer sheets after writing an exam, and then give another exam question paper. According to the latest decision, the exams will be held on different days and only one and a half hours will be given for each exam. As there is a single paper for all the remaining subjects, the time allotted for each subject is 3 hours. The officials of the education department clarified that the choice will also be the same as before. Officials say that the changed procedure in the science subject will also apply to the ninth class exams.
